Hello everyone!
I want to thank all of you who attended Writing from Scratch: A Creative Writing Workshop on Saturday, October 17 in Middletown, CT. It was a tremendous success, with attendees ranging from age 15 to retirees. You are all fantastic writers and your enthusiasm is inspiring! The class was split into two sections; poetry and prose. In the poetry section, we concentrated on iambic pentameter and the basic structure of building a sonnet. In the second section, we concentrated on the beginning stages of character development in prose fiction.
Some of you have expressed interest in attending another workshop, with a focus on moving forward in the process of writing your novel and learning a new poetic form. If you would be interested in attending a workshop like this, or perhaps a different workshop that concentrates on a different type of poetry, such as forms of repetition, and developing a plot sentence to guide you in a better understanding of the plot of your story, let me know! You design the workshop. Tell me on what you want to concentrate, and if there are enough interested parties, I will design that workshop around your needs! I create these workshops on demand, so I only set something up if I hear from enough interested parties.
These are one-day, three-hour workshops with a fee of only $15! It's a small investment for a large return, and in this poor economy, who doesn't want that!
Email me at EileenRain@aol.com if you would like to attend a future workshop or visit www.EileenAlbrizio.com for more details about these workshops! I hope to hear from you.
Happy writing!
