Hi everyone! I just rejoined CAPA after a one-year absence. I live in Exeter, New Hampshire now, after more than 30 years in Connecticut and more than 20 years as a member of CAPA. I couldn't stay away.
In addition to being part of lots of CAPA committees over the years, I wrote hundreds of op-ed pieces, one nonfiction book called Wild Tulips, and hundreds more features articles for a variety of websites. Professionally, I shifted from being a school psychologist to being an e-zine editor and freelance book editor. That was 20 years ago, and I've edited more than 400 book manuscripts since 1997!
One of the latest is a book called One Heart Too Many by Denise Medany. Have you ever dated a widower or thought you might marry a man whose wife has died? Well, this author interviewed dozens of women who have, and the dynamics they reveal about their relationships will curl your hair! It's no walk in the park, I can tell you that!
Take a look, read it, and add one of those reviews we all need on Amazon and Goodreads to let prospective buyers know what they're in for -- a helluva good read!
It's great to be back. I plan to stay in touch through this blog since I'm a bit too far away to attend monthly CAPA meetings. I hope you all will contribute stories about what you're up to in the literary biz, so I can keep up with you!
