A Literary Community Learning from One Another

I wrote an article that has been posted on book-editing.com about entering contests to win money, increase exposure, win other prizes such as actual publishing contracts, and more!

Take a look here:

I've been an editor for the Next Generation Indie Book Awards for several years and know how powerful winning such a contest can be to stimulate sales and promotion of you book. This particular contest accepts submissions in more than 70 categories, so there are many opportunities to be a winner or a finalist of record.

I need to make a correction in the blog I posted yesterday, February 28, about entering book award contests. In the intro to the blog, I said, incorrectly, that I am an editor for the Next Generation Book Awards, instead of saying I'm a judge. I've been a judge for this contest for several years.

I hope you will be inspired by the article to consider entering a few contests with your book. You just might win!
