Middle grade authors Greg Slomba & Stephanie Robinson
Stephanie and Jessica have developed a platform for spotlighting local and up and coming authors in the middle grade/YA and children's book marketplace on Fairday's Blog! In joining the group, Believe in Yourself: PAWS (Poets, Artists, and Writers for Success, we have begun to promote them with a series of posts, which allows us to not only showcase their work, but bring interested readers along on their journey.
Most recently, we were lucky enough to meet with Greg Slomba, middle grade author of The Deliverers: Sharky and the Jewel (pop over to the blog). It was exciting to finally meet him in person! He was signing books during a Sunday brunch at Two Steps Down Grille in Danbury, CT, which was a fun and clever idea. Fairday's Blog! has reviewed and interviewed this author- helping to promote his work. It was wonderful to help him out and we look forward to networking with other authors both in the middle grade/YA and children's picture book marketplace.
Fridays, we feature a post entitled, Margo's Musings- where we explore books taken from Fairday's little sister, Margo's, bookshelf. In this post, we feature children's book series. We have worked with Natasha Ferrill, author ofThe Lemonman Series (visit author site) and Ryan SanAngelo, author of Spaghetti Eddie and Bye Bye Balloon (visit author site). In February, we will be reviewing Dubs Goes to Washington- (Dubs on Facebook) so, keep an eye out for this adorable book.
We would love for you to sit a spell and check out our links. You will meet some really great writers and illustrators. Stephanie and I look forward to connecting with all of you. I think PAWS is a wonderful idea- writers helping each other out- the market is changing and this is what, I believe, the future holds for the literary marketplace.
Please let us know if there is a book or author you would like us to review and we will be happy to check it out! ~ Jess @ The Secret DMS Files of Fairday Morrow.
HAPPY READING EVERYONE!
