Sadly many of us in today's hectic times are running on empty.
We all want to achieve and succeed and be successful in this world so we try really hard to do everything that we can, but sometimes we just get overwhelmed.
And sometimes on top of that overwhelmed feeling we usually are reminded that many times this world isn't such a nice place. Some of us will even go out and get a dog...
When your running on life's treadmills going no where fast, it may seem that life is…Continue

I'm sure everyone of us has heard either a family member or a friend talk about the, "Good Old Days". They'll say things like it was a simpler time. Life was easier back then, and you had more leisure time to do the things you wanted to do.
Well, I'm here to tell you that the, "Good Old Days" weren't always so good, and tomorrow is not as bad as it may seem...
Think about this for a moment: Air conditioning is only about 100-years old. Imagine today trying to live without any…Continue

Have you ever just stopped, paused, and examined the world around you? If you do this, you will find that everyday you are surrounded by miracles throughout your entire life.
Take for example, the humongous Mighty Oak tree. How did that huge thing come out of that little acorn? Think about this for a moment. No, seriously, take a moment to really think about this. How did such a large, powerful, enduring, and Mighty Oak tree come out of that little acorn?
It blows your mind to…Continue

Most of us go through life ENDURING it... From this moment forward I challenge you to ENJOY it...
Have you ever heard people say, "Oh, I have to go to school now." Or maybe you've heard them say, "Oh, I have to go to work now." Or maybe you've even heard them say, "Oh, I have to go to practice now."
You all know what I'm talking about... Every one of us has heard people moan, groan and complain about all the stuff we HAVE TO DO! Maybe you're even one of these complainers. I…Continue

"Winners do what others WON'T so they can someday do what others DON'T!" was my reply to the a whining teen today in school.
"What?" was her response.
This time I stared at here powerfully and purposefully, then repeated, "Winners do what others WON'T so they can someday do what others DON'T!"
"But it's almost the holiday and nobody is here! Do we really have to do work today?" continued the young teen…Continue

Nike says, "Just do it!" And I must admit there has been many times that I have followed that advice and have "just done it." Now I'm going to honest with you here. I didn't always know what I was doing!
As a matter of fact, many times I didn't know what I was doing, but I somehow had this blind faith that somehow, someway, things would find a way to work themselves out...
And you know what? They usually have found a way to work themselves out.
Now don't get me wrong…Continue

Problems! Problems! Problems! YEAH!!!
"What? What are you crazy!" is what you must be thinking right about now.
Whoa... Hold on a second there buddy.... Give me a chance to explain. Have you ever known anyone that didn't have problems? No. I didn't think so. That is because there isn't a human alive on this planet that doesn't have problems. If there was, then that person wouldn't be human.
Besides my Granddaddy once told me that having problems is better than the…Continue

My Granddaddy once told me that when everyday is as good as a Friday, then you'll be finally living! Once again, I think my Granddaddy was on to something here. How many of us dread Monday mornings? How many of us are looking for the weekend by Wednesdays? How many of us can feel the excitement in the air come late Friday afternoon?
I imagine most of us can relate to the above scenarios. The sad thing is that most of us are just going through the motions until Friday afternoon. We're…Continue

Steve Jobs once said to stay hungry and stay foolish. I think he was really on to something here!
You see, we all had at one time this natural gift being naive. Do you remember when the world was still fresh and anything could be accomplished with enough effort? Look at our youth. Teens are hungry to get out there and to take over the world. They are a bit foolish and don't quite yet know the challenges that lay ahead of them. And that my friend is awesome and to their advantage and…Continue

A reporter once asked the great hockey player Wayne Getzky what his secret was to being better than all of those other professional hockey players out there.
His reply: "I just skate to where the puck is going!"
It sounds like such a simple piece of advice. Why don't we all just skate to where the puck is going and we too can be legendary hockey players, right?
Well, it's not that easy. For one, we don't all play hockey. For another, us humans just don't like to plan our…Continue

The other day I was driving home when some guy in a hurry cut me off and nearly caused me to crash my car!
My heart pounded from the near-crash, and I thanked my lucky stars that I was able to pull out of it and nobody was hurt.
I figured that I would let him know that I was alright; no harm, no foul right! I was prepared to give him the head-wave to let him know that he didn't have to stop to check and see if I was okay. I was fine and he could keep going to where ever it was…Continue

Have you ever paused to watch the flight of a bird? Have you ever caught a snowflake on your tongue? How about jumping off a dock into a lake during a warm sunny day? You see none of these things costs any money, and none are overly complicated. I think we all spend too much time complicating life. Life would be so much more fun if we could just pause once in awhile and enjoy the simple things in life, because they truly are the best things in life... For example, I can remember my heart…Continue
