I found your workshop very interesting. I, unfortunately, missed the first part because of a meeting with an agent. You gave me your card and suggested I ask you to send me the handout. Is there one you could e-mail to me at ? I would appreciate it very much and I to go to another one of your workshops in the future. Barbara

Hello Dvorah!

These workshops are a hands-on experience in which we focus on certain elements of writing in an effort to improve our craft. The concentration is largely focused on novel writing, but the rules apply also to nonfiction, such as memoir. In some workshops we explore poetic techniques then apply those techniques to novel writing. In other workshops we explore what we need to do before we actually start writing our novel, including developing a character analysis, drafting a plot sentences and blocking out our chapters. In this workshop, we will explore some problems writers have developing point of view, dialogue and narrative.

After some lecture and discussion, I show by example, then we take some time to apply what we've learned to a practice writing session.

I hope this helps! It's only $15, so it's a small investment for a large return.

Thanks for your interest!

Dvorah! Welcome to the CAPA social network. It is a wonderful resource and I know you will benefit from being here.

If you are interested, I am hosting a novel writing workshop this Saturday, June 26 from 1-4 at the Buttonwood Tree in Middletown. It's called Elements of Style, and we will be focusing on point of view, dialogue and narrative. Drop me a note if you are interested in attending. You can also visit my website for more information on the workshop.

Again, welcome aboard!
