Write Your Memoir Now workshop retreat, October 3-5, 2014, The Water's Edge Resort & Spa, Westbrook, CT. I am excited to be a workshop leader at this upcoming retreat in CT, sponsored by the National Association of Memoir Writers.

If you are writing a memoir, or thinking of writing one, this workshop retreat will be a great way to either jump start your project or address the many issues that memoir writers face. Space is limited, so take a look at the website and sign up now! It will be great fun too!

I am pleased to tell my friends at CAPA that my memoir, Replacement Child, won an IPPY (Independent Publishers Book Award) in the category of Biography/Memoir. I was thrilled to accept my medal (an actual medal!) at the gala celebration in NYC last week.

Here's a link to my most recent (weekly) column, Big Wheels, in the Waterbury Republican-American.  I interviewed Grant Goodeve (Eight is Enough star) about cars and driving.

Heidi,

I think this is a great idea for a book. I once took a reflexology workshop for babies. You would be surprised what can be done for little ones. Jason

My latest little book, Cat Massage for Kids: Simple Massage Anyone Can Do to Bond with The..., is now live on Kindle! It's also available as a physical book through Createspace.

I discuss simple techniques to use on a wary cat to help build trust and to bond with them. I also encourage  parents and older children to show young children the gentle techniques sure to win the hearts of their furry buddies.

I'm hoping to persuade Humane Societies and kitty rescue organizations that this is a must-have to offer to potential adopters of cats!
